The 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche will be available to order from April 2026.

At the end of 2025, the visionary designer would have turned 90. To mark this important anniversary, in 2026 the sports car manufacturer created a special gift on four wheels: the 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche.

Everyone knows the designer F.A. Porsche, but no one knows the man behind the name better than his family. In collaboration with Porsche Sonderwunsch, his sons have created a special model in his honor: the 911 GT3 90 F.A. Porsche. Family. Design. Roots.

The exterior and interior of this personalized commemorative model are inspired by a 911 G series driven by F. A. Porsche in the 1980s. Ninety examples, which also feature elegant Heritage Design elements, will be produced by our Sonderwunsch bespoke department. One of them has been purchased by his son, Mark Porsche. Buyers of this collector’s model will have access to a unique experience that will allow them to further personalize their own anniversary car.

The 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche will be available to order from April 2026. An exclusive edition of the legendary Porsche Design Chronograph 1 special edition and a travel bag are included as standard equipment with the vehicle.

“When you think about the function of an object, the form sometimes almost follows by itself.” That was the credo of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, known as F.A. He had already implemented his vision of uncompromising reduction to the essentials with the legendary 911.

In 1972, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche and his brother Hans-Peter founded a design studio they named Porsche Design. The objects they created there quickly became classics of modern design, such as the Chronograph I wristwatch and the P’8478 sunglasses with interchangeable lenses.

F. A. Porsche would have turned 90 on December 11, 2025. To mark the occasion, the Sonderwunsch experts teamed up with his youngest son, Mark Porsche, to design a special commemorative model: the 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche. One model will be given to Mark Porsche, and 89 others will be available to customers worldwide.

“I’m sure my father would have loved this very special 911,” says Mark Porsche. “We incorporated my father’s personal preferences into this exciting project through numerous details. The F.A. Green Metallic paint, created especially for this model, is reminiscent of the Oak Green Metallic color of his 911. The F.A. Grid-Weave houndstooth fabric used in the center of the seats echoes the pattern of his favorite jacket.”

The 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche will be available to order from April 2026 at a price of $ 421,443.80 excluding taxes. An exclusive special edition of the legendary Chronograph 1 and a matching Porsche Design travel bag are included. Production will begin in the second half of 2026, once buyers have finalized their individual configurations. This collector’s item is based on the 911 GT3 with Touring Package. The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine develops 510 hp (375 kW) and 450 Nm of torque.

Inspired by the green of an F. A. 911: Paint to Sample Plus

F. A. Greenmetallic is the name of the exclusive paint finish for the anniversary model. Inspired by the iconic Oakgreenmetallic of F. A. Porsche’s 911, the experts at the Paint to Sample Plus program created the current shade in collaboration with the Porsche family. Starting in 2026, an exclusive label will be affixed to the A-pillar of all cars equipped with Paint to Sample or Paint to Sample Plus colors. This anniversary model is the first to feature this new distinction.

The Sport Classic wheels painted in satin black are also specific to this model and are not available on the 911 GT3 with Touring Package. Inspired by classic Fuchs wheels, they feature refined details such as the center nut and the historic 1963 crest on the wheel centers. A gold-plated badge with the “90 F. A. Porsche” logo will be affixed to the rear grille.

Inspired by a jacket pattern: special fabric in the center of the seats

Decorative chalk stitching and the center sections of the seats in F.A. Grid-Weave fabric complement the Club Brown Truffle leather upholstery and create a special atmosphere in memory of F.A. Porsche. F.A. Grid-Weave fabric is also used in the glove compartment, on the document holder, and on the reversible carpet in the luggage compartment.

The fabric pattern comes in five colors. Black, green, truffle brown, cream, and burgundy red threads are woven together. “My father’s favorite jackets had this pattern. Like his pencil, pipe, and ashtray, these jackets were part of my childhood and were inseparable from his home office,” explains Mark Porsche.

The Sport Chrono watch located at the top of the dashboard is inspired by the original Chronograph I, created as a one-off for F. A. Porsche.

Another remarkable feature inside the car is the walnut plywood gear knob, engraved with F. A. Porsche’s signature. Another gold badge with a reproduction of the signature, the original silhouette of the 911 and the words “One of 90” on the decorative strip on the dashboard identify each 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche as a limited-edition collector’s item of rare value. In addition, the center console armrest is stamped with the same motif as the exterior badge.

Exclusive edition of the Porsche Design 1 chronograph

Buyers of this special edition will receive an exclusive version of the Chronograph 1. A special Super-LumiNova® luminescent material applied to the hands and hour markers is inspired by the look of aged radium or tritium and creates a patina effect. The watch’s exceptional vintage character is enhanced by the historic Porsche Design logo on the clasp of its strap and its crown. The initials appear above the day and date display at 3 o’clock. Normally, the Porsche Design logo is located here, but F. A. Porsche had his initials added to his personal chronograph, which now belongs to his descendants. The oscillating weight of the self-winding movement has the same shape and color as the wheels of the classic car. The limited edition number (XX/90) and F. A. Porsche’s signature are laser-engraved on the case back. Unlike the original, the case is made of ultra-lightweight, durable, and hypoallergenic titanium, but like its historic predecessor from 1972, it is coated in black.

Porsche watches: timeless timepieces.

Instead of the black-coated titanium bracelet, buyers can also wear the watch with a leather strap, which is included with the watch. The leather and decorative stitching match the materials used in the interior of the sports car. Thanks to the quick-change system, the straps can be replaced easily and without tools. Like all Porsche Design watches, the chronograph is COSC-certified, guaranteeing maximum precision. It is handmade in the Porsche watch factory in Grenchen, Switzerland.

This special wristwatch is based on the “Chronograph 1 – 1972 Limited Edition,” which Porsche Design introduced in 2022 to mark its 50th anniversary. It is inspired by the original model in every detail and features state-of-the-art technology. The story behind this watch is that the then young Porsche Design company received its first order from Porsche AG: a watch for deserving employees and those celebrating an anniversary. The initial order was for 20 pieces. The design was inspired by the dashboard of the Porsche 911, which remains clearly legible even under extreme conditions. F. A. transferred this look and functionality to the watch, with a matte black dial, fluorescent white hour markers and hands, and a red second hand. The Chronograph I was the world’s first black wristwatch and quickly became a classic as well as a symbol of F. A. Porsche’s functional design principles.

Weekend bag in the style of the vehicle

In addition to the Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche, a special travel bag is part of the exclusive set. In terms of materials and colors, this spacious travel bag echoes the interior design of the collector’s item. The travel bag is made from the same Truffle Brown leather used for the vehicle’s interior and also features decorative stitching in Chalk.

The lining of the front pocket of the travel bag is made from F.A. Grid-Weave fabric, which is used for the seats, while the main compartment is lined with high-quality microfiber. The badge with the anniversary logo, matching the badge on the vehicle’s trunk lid grille, is also embroidered on the bag’s outer pocket.

The return of an iconic item: the Porsche Junior sled makes its comeback

To mark this anniversary, another iconic object designed by F. A. Porsche is making a comeback: the Porsche Junior. This bowl-shaped sports sled was offered by Porsche in the 1960s, especially for young enthusiasts.

It was also very popular with F. A. Porsche and his children, as can be seen in the photos in the family albums. The new edition is made of carbon fiber, a material that has proven itself in motor racing and automotive engineering and makes the sled particularly light. A Kevlar core provides additional stability. Like the car, the Porsche Junior is limited to 90 units and is available in the special exterior color F.A. Green Metallic. The seat cushion of the sled is covered with the F.A. Grid-Weave fabric used in the 911 GT3 90 F.A. Porsche.

About F. A. Porsche and Porsche Design

Ferdinand Alexander Porsche was born on December 11, 1935. He grew up in an environment steeped in technology and pioneering spirit. F. A. spent most of his youth at the Schüttgut estate in Zell am See. He developed a passion for design at an early age, studied for a short time at the renowned Ulm School of Design, and began working as an intern in Porsche’s modeling department in 1957. In March 1961, this department was separated from the body design division and placed under the control of the F. A. Porsche “Studio.” Under the young boss’s leadership, the 901/991, the 804 Formula 1 racing car, and the Porsche 904 Carrera GTS were created. After all members of the family left the operational activities of Porsche KG, which had been transformed into a public limited company, he and his brother Hans-Peter founded their own company in Stuttgart in 1972, which they named Porsche Design.

Two years later, he moved the design studio headquarters to Zell am See, near the Schüttgut estate. Over the following decades, he designed numerous classic accessories such as mechanical wristwatches, eyewear, lighters, and pipes, as well as writing instruments, which gained worldwide renown under the Porsche Design brand. At the same time, he and his team designed a wide range of industrial products, household appliances, and consumer goods for internationally renowned clients under the label Design by F. A. Porsche. F. A. passed away on April 5, 2012, in Salzburg.

The design studio in Zell am See, now named Studio F. A. Porsche in honor of its founder, remains at the heart of the Porsche Design brand to this day. In keeping with F. A. Porsche’s vision, all designs continue to follow his philosophy of timeless and functional design, rather than fleeting trends.
