MEGA expands its Speedmaster 38mm collection with new models in gold and steel topped with a sparkling bezel paved with 52 diamonds and matched with a diamond-set crown.
Brand ambassadors Kaia Gerber, Han So-hee and Liu Shishi present these luxurious chronographs in their most beautiful light.
Launched in 2017, OMEGA’s Speedmaster 38mm collection offers fans of the brand a luxurious interpretation of the inimitable chronograph aesthetic. Particularly popular, the Speedmaster 38 mm “Cappuccino” in 18K Sedna™ gold features horizontal brown oval counters and a vertical oval date window at 6 o’clock. A design inspired by the oval counters that once adorned De Ville watches.
Diamond supplement
This year, OMEGA is expanding the collection with eight new models: two in 18K Sedna™ gold, two in 18K Moonshine™ gold and four in classic stainless steel, all in two stunning different dial colors.
In addition to the diamonds on the bezel, representing a total of around 1.5 carats, there are those which encircle the counters of each watch. All the refinement of this generous paving does not make us forget the unique character of the Speedmaster. Indeed, OMEGA has remained faithful to the aesthetics and heritage of its most emblematic chronograph.
Sedna gold and precious stones
New for 2024 include two models dressed in 18K Sedna™ gold, an OMEGA proprietary alloy. They feature a brown PVD-treated dial and silver horizontal oval counters. The diamond-cut 18K Sedna™ gold hour and minute hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova with a green glow.
One of the watches is presented on a polished and satin-finished 18K Sedna™ gold bracelet, featuring a patented OMEGA comfort adjustment system. The other rests on a brown leather strap closed by an 18K Sedna™ gold folding clasp.
Gold Moonshine and Sparkling Gems
The new OMEGA models in 18K Moonshine™ gold both feature a green PVD-treated dial with silvered horizontal oval counters, complemented by a vertical oval date window at 6 o’clock. The diamond-cut 18K Moonshine™ gold hour and minute hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova with a green glow.
Fans of the 38mm Speedmaster will be able to choose between a satin and polished 18K Moonshine™ gold bracelet with patented OMEGA comfort adjustment system or a green leather strap with 18K Moonshine™ gold folding clasp
Classic metals
OMEGA offers lovers of classic stainless steel four new editions. The PVD dial comes in two colors, brown and green, and two adjustment options: a bracelet with the patented OMEGA comfort system or a matching leather strap closed with a stainless steel folding clasp.
All feature silver-coated horizontal oval counters, a vertical oval date window at 6 o’clock, and rhodium-plated and diamond-plated hour and minute hands, coated in white Super-LumiNova.
Case back and caliber
All models have a sparkling screw-down case back, stamped with a Seahorse medallion. A nod to the prestigious history of the Speedmaster. The watch is powered by an officially certified chronometer: the OMEGA Co-Axial caliber 3330 . A self-winding chronograph with column wheel, Co-Axial escapement and rackless balance equipped with a Si14 silicon hairspring.
Design inspiration
The primary objective was to turn heads by emphasizing the luxurious spirit, thanks to fully polished cases and bezels paved with sparkling diamonds of approximately 1.5 carats. For the dials, OMEGA designers were inspired by heritage models, such as the green dial of the 42 mm Moonwatch in Moonshine™ gold or the brown dial of the De Ville Chocolat, which was a great success a few years ago. years.
Captivating original models
These new 38mm Speedmasters from OMEGA highlight the impressive selection already available online and in stores, which notably includes three star models.
- A model with stainless steel case and bracelet, black dial, and rhodium-plated hands and indexes.
- The Speedmaster 38 mm in stainless steel and 18K yellow gold with silver opaline dial and green leather strap.
- And of course, the very popular “Cappuccino” in stainless steel and 18K Sedna™ gold with a taupe-brown leather strap.
