The Jeep® brand launches into the electrified D-SUV segment with the unveiling of its world’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV): the Jeep® Wagoneer S 2024 Launch Edition (US only). The all-new, 100% electric Jeep® Wagoneer S 2024 will be launched first in the United States and Canada in the second half of 2024, before becoming available in markets around the world.
The Jeep® Wagoneer S is offered exclusively in 100% electric form, with a range of over 300 miles (approx. 480 km), 600 horsepower, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and instant torque of over 800 Nm. Combined with the Selec-Terrain traction management system, exclusive to the Jeep® brand, the Jeep® Wagoneer S inspires confidence in driver and passengers, and ensures optimum traction in all weather and road conditions (these data refer to US specifications and US cycle only).
Fast charging
To make recharging the battery of this world’s first Jeep® brand electric vehicle quick and easy for customers, the Jeep® Wagoneer S is equipped with a 400-volt, 100 kWh battery, and allows owners to recharge the vehicle from 20% to 80% in 23 minutes (with a DC fast charger).
Electrified architecture delivers exceptional performance, off-road capability and comfort
The Jeep® Wagoneer S 2024 offers segment-leading performance. They are based on the quality of the STLA Large platform, which is extremely flexible and designed from the outset for electric power. Jeep® brand engineers have modified the STLA Large platform to adjust length, width, suspension and powertrain configurations to suit the Jeep® Wagoneer S and optimize performance.
Standard four-wheel drive provides greater dynamism and serenity on the road and in a variety of conditions. Stellantis-designed Electric Drive Modules (EDMs) independently power front and rear wheels for instant torque response, while the Jeep® brand’s exclusive Selec-Terrain traction management system offers five distinct driving modes: Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, Sand.
The use of new technologies and techniques played a crucial role in the development of the Jeep® Wagoneer S. To enhance the driving experience and reduce noise and vibration levels to create a quiet cabin and smooth ride, Jeep® engineers have improved the body’s torsional rigidity by 35% compared to the brand’s previous D-segment SUVs, for superior ride and handling and effective response to driver input.
Exterior design sets a new standard for the 100% electric Jeep® Wagoneer S
A vehicle forged from first-class heritage, innovation and refinement, the Jeep® Wagoneer S 2024 is ready to blaze its own trail with its own unique style. The exterior design of this new SUV is a clever combination of harmonious proportions and aerodynamic efficiency that reinterprets the functional side of the Jeep® brand in the new era of electrification.
The front bumper is elegantly punctuated by a novel seven-slot grille. No longer necessary for air circulation and cooling, the closed grille now illuminates the “light strip” as you approach the vehicle. The new ambient lighting is inspired by modern architecture and offers a distinctive appearance.
Aerodynamic research is accentuated by the inclination and curvature of the hood and windscreen, optimizing performance and efficiency at high speeds. The sloping roofline cascades down below a cantilevered rear spoiler, linking function and aesthetics with the Wagoneer S’s distinctive silhouette.
The Jeep® Wagoneer S Launch Edition will be exclusively equipped with elegant dark accents. Offering style and personalization, the Launch Edition version features 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, as well as Gloss Black and dark gray exterior elements throughout. Chrome is absent, as the design team sought to incorporate more environmentally-friendly processes and materials. Painted satin trim and a panoramic sunroof for an open-air experience set this Launch Edition version apart (USA only).
The art of interior design: the harmonious integration of refinement and technology
As the industry’s pioneer and first modern luxury SUV, the iconic 1963 Jeep® Wagoneer stood above the competition, breaking new ground and paving the way for the widespread adoption of SUVs. Six decades later, the Jeep® Wagoneer S 2024 continues to push the boundaries and evolve the iconic Jeep® brand with a fresh approach to technology, refinement and innovation.
The Jeep® Wagoneer S 2024 builds on the Jeep® brand’s heritage of world-class interiors that exemplify the art of travel. Its technologically advanced interior is as impressive as its performance, with a class-leading total screen diagonal of over 45 inches, a segment-exclusive interactive front passenger screen, meticulous finishes and elegant materials.
Building on the design elements of the current-generation Jeep® Grand Wagoneer, the interface is fully digital with modern controls and interfaces. The 2-spoke sports steering wheel features a new Cabo vinyl antimicrobial coating.
The electronic door-opening system, a first for a Jeep® model, can be activated with a light touch of the thumb. The start button is repositioned and surrounded by die-cast zinc metal.
The Launch Edition comes standard with customizable LED lighting with day/night settings, as well as active ambient lighting with a choice of 64 colors. The Jeep® Wagoneer S seats five passengers in great comfort: it is the only 100% electric vehicle in its segment to feature heated and ventilated rear seats as standard (USA only).
Segment-exclusive McIntosh® audio system
Audiophiles in search of a high-end immersive audio system need look no further: the new Jeep® Wagoneer S offers just that. Thanks to a segment-exclusive partnership with McIntosh®, audio performance is provided by a 19-speaker system. Powered by a 1,160-watt amplifier and a 12-inch subwoofer for exceptional bass quality, the high-performance system delivers an immersive experience, giving all vehicle occupants the feeling of being in a recording studio with their favorite artists.
Sustainable equation
The use of recycled resources and materials has been consciously integrated into the Jeep® Wagoneer S. The surfaces of the seats, console, doors and dashboard are made of non-leather synthetic material. The headliner is made from high-quality microfiber, and the premium carpets are made from recycled materials.
Safer, smarter technology for an immersive driving experience
A class leader among all electric vehicles, the all-new Wagoneer S 2024 offers a total of over 45 inches of high-definition screen diagonal, including a segment-exclusive 10.25-inch interactive front passenger screen that communicates directly with the Uconnect 5 system. The system enables the front passenger, for example, to manage the navigation system so that the driver can concentrate on the road ahead.
The Wagoneer S driver will enjoy elevated driving and state-of-the-art connectivity thanks to an all-new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster designed to be intuitive. Working with the standard integrated navigation system, new dynamic views of the road better assist the driver and complement the vehicle’s semi-autonomous driving system. It also features a set of menus, including electric-specific elements such as charge level, battery status and available power. When parked and plugged in, the Wagoneer S handset displays the current state of charge, which is activated when the remote key is detected.
The 12.3-inch central touchscreen houses the Uconnect 5 system. The screen’s responsiveness and legibility have been improved. A wide range of colors and backlighting also enable better projection of system applications.
The Jeep Wagoneer S also offers a range of connected services associated with the Jeep app, helping owners to understand and remotely access information such as battery charge levels. For example, with the Dynamic Range Mapping function, once a destination is entered into the navigation system, algorithms calculate and visually display on the map the distance that can be covered according to the vehicle’s range.
Safety and premium owner benefits = driving with confidence
The Jeep Wagoneer S 2024 offers a combination of over 170 standard safety features that help make the road safer with advanced driver assistance technology. Launch Edition equipment includes Semi-Autonomous Driving Assistance, Intersection Collision Assist, Drowsiness Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition and 360° Camera.
Thanks to over-the-air upgrades, the Jeep Wagoneer S will continue to evolve and receive innovative features, services, performance and other technologies.
